Created in 2016, Medic Mindset is hosted by EMS Educator, Ginger Locke. She is an Associate Professor of EMS Professions at Austin Community College in Austin, Texas.

The podcast started as a resource for her paramedic students as they transitioned to the field. With 10-20K listens per episode, the show has surpassed the original target audience.

She wants to talk to anyone who cares about her singular focus: job-satisfaction and career-longevity for paramedics.

Want CE for listening? Prodigy offers that at an affordable cost.

Ginger occasionally speaks at conferences when she gets passionate about a topic (human performance, communication, education) but really prefers the privacy of her podcasting studio. She interviews paramedics, EMS medical directors and EMS educators.

Dr. Maia Dorsett is the Medical Director for Medic Mindset and reviews all clinical content for accuracy according to the most current evidence. While clinical topics are in the show, none of the content should be used as clinical operating guidelines for listeners’ practices.

Interesting in connecting? Ginger is always looking to hear from listeners: ginger@medicmindset.com

Financial Disclosures: Support for the show is provided by iSimulate and Eastern Kentucky University. Prodigy EMS provides the mechanism for CAPCE-accredited CE for selected educational episodes (like those in the Thinking series).
