I’m always enjoying my family & career at the community college. These are updates about other creative projects. Check back often to see what I’m doing right now:

12/2/2025 My son turned me on to a musician who is so creative. His website clinched it for me. Who does that?! Feeling creative and making a few video shorts you can find under the CORE EMS tab.

10/15/2025 I tried Sora today. I used Chat GPT to create the prompt. Here’s the video:

9/11/25 Working with students one-on-one in the lab. Appreciating a moment that involves nothing digital.

9/1/25 Learning about cochlear implants. A video that demonstrates the experience.

8/21/25 Working on cover art for Thinking: Vomiting. Feeling less cerebral these days, I enjoyed the childlike play of making silly art.

8/20/25 Hot yoga & lunch with a friend who gets the creative juices flowing. He’s an AI nerd who develops my understanding about its applications in education and field care. What if every paramedic had an AI coach who knew which calls they had run (and the patient outcomes) and chatted with them 5-10 minutes a day about their decision-making.

5/26/25 Creating templates for various projects. The naturalistic “starting from scratch” was fun for creativity, but as I need to increase efficiency, templates are helpful. They allow me to focus on specifics related to the project rather than reinventing every episode of Medic Mindset from a blank page. Historically, I thought it was “cheating” but now I see the efficacy.

5/15/2025 Got to email a Prodigy user that we added a software feature based on their feedback. That is my idea of job satisfaction.

4/25/25 Creating a mechanism to tell the story of how “power users” optimize an EMS software product. The idea is to show other users the capabilities of the software. It reminds me of watching people build slide shows & how I learn about features that were invisible to me in the software. How do you tell that story? People think a video would do it, but clicking on an 8-10 minute video is a commitment. Today I’m contemplating how to tell that story via another medium.

4/21/25 Doing the painful work of trimming a 10 minute audio segment down to 5 minutes. Recording too long = having to let things I love be deleted.

4/8/25 I spoke to a software engineer. Instead of asking what he does for work (knowing it is invisible in a way), I asked “What do other people experience as a result of your work?” He tried explaining it technically but then began talking about collective progress and how we are all engineers. He works for AMD and I was enchanted by how quickly he segued his work to meaning and humanity.

3/25/25 Conducted a User Experience interview with a Prodigy client. Feedback is a gift.

3/21/25 Maia and I experimented with AI voice cloning. Here’s a sample of my clone “talking”:
